Summer is almost upon us, and we are all looking forward to warm weather, holidays and of course, music gigs. We are spoilt for choice here in Dublin with so many excellent music venues, all within easy reach of the city centre.

The Three Arena

One of the biggest names to hit the stage this summer are The Backstreet Boys. They will be on stage at the Three Arena on June 11th. Elton John will perform on the same stage the night after, on June 12th. The Three Arena is situated in a fantastic location in the Dublin docklands. It’s only an 18 minute tram ride from Swuite. The Three Arena hosts some of the biggest concerts in Dublin, boasting a 13,000 capacity.

The RDS

Bon Jovi will entertain fans at the RDS later in June. This venue, located in Ballsbridge about 6km from Swuite, is easy to access. It boasts on site parking and lots of public transport options. Fleetwood Mac, Pink and The Foo Fighters are all lined up to play here this summer. The Dublin Horse Show will also be held here.

Malahide Castle

George Ezra will sing to crowds at Malahide Castle on June 21st while The Cure take the stage in the scenic seaside village on June 8th. The venue has over 260 acres of lush parkland and is a wonderful spot to spend the whole day. A 25 minute dart ride from the city center will bring you to the picturesque village of Malahide.
