After spending a few days gallivanting around Gaillimh tasting coffee, we’re well & truly full of beans!!!!!! We bring to you our 5 favourite Coffee & Tea schpots in the City of the Tribes.
Ah Coffee, the lifeblood of Monday Morning, that liquid gold that makes Mornings bearable, a magical dark substance that turns ‘ Leave me alone’ into Good Morning Monday let’s be having yah, a warm, delicious alternative to hating everybody every morning, forever. Dramatic much!!!
Drumroll please. Or in this case Swiss Roll!!!!!!
Our favourite schpot for Coffee & Cake in Galway goes to The G Counter!!!! Hands down the best baked goodies in town! A Five minute walk from Swuite Bohermore down the hill, right next door to the Eye Cinema, you’ll find this hidden gem in Wellpark Retail Centre. We thoroughly enjoyed a cake and coffee. It was a real struggle to choose just one. We’ll definitely be back to sample the whole menu of cakes with our delicious coffee!! Our motto in Swuite Bohermore is #keepitswuite after all so it would be rude not to!!!
Number two schpot goes to the Big Bright Orange Barista Bus!!! The bus is usually stationed in Salthill across from Blackrock Diving Tower. So go for a dive and then revive, with a coffee!! Coffee is served from the back of a 1972 Volkswagen Van served by a young chap from Tipperary by the name of Tom. Go say Hi! The Coffee is constantly updated with new season coffee available for the serious coffee connoisseur!! Grab a few beans and take in the scenes in Salthill!!!
Coffeewerk&Press is a passion project of Daniel Ulrichs, whose family have owned and run the toy shop Wooden Heart in Galway since the late 1970s. Located in the heart of Quay street. It’s a fierce modern coffeeshop!!! The Cup o Joe is quite something. The atmosphere is calm, bright, and clean with amazing little local trinkets and takeaway postcards. Not only does it serve exceptional coffee , there’s plenty of parphanalia to indulge your senses whilst waiting for your brew to don’t forget to go upstairs!!!!
Badger & Dodo exceptional coffee from around the world. Just a quick stroll down the road from Swuite Bohermore, Located on Fairgreen road beside the Coach Station and Train station. Great coffee from around the world you’ll be spoilt for choice. The minute you step in the door, Love is in the air or is that the smell of Coffee beans coming at yah!!! I recommend the Flat White, though she be little but fierce as Shakespeare himself used to say whilst sipping his Morning Jolt!! also honorary mention to the Macha-Latte.
